Orbit Workforce Solutions Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Groundworker for an on-going project in Hastings.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a full range of groundwork tasks, including installing drainage systems, pouring concrete, setting kerbs, laying paving, and completing ducting works.
- Prepare, level, and compact ground for foundations, footings, and concrete slabs.
- Fit, connect, and maintain essential services such as drainage networks, utility lines, and ducting infrastructure.
- Safely and efficiently operate small plant, tools, and machinery within the limits of training and authorisation.
- Read, understand, and work from technical drawings, site plans, and level measurements.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure work meets project specifications and deadlines.
- Deliver all tasks to a high standard of workmanship while maintaining strict adherence to safety requirements.
- Keep the working area clean, organised, and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Comply with all company health and safety policies and actively support safe working practices.
- Present a professional attitude at all times, showing dependability, strong teamwork, and a committed work ethic.
Key Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Groundworks.
- EUSR Cat 1 & 2 certification.
- Street Works (NRSWA) Units 1–9.
- Safety Critical Medical certification.
- Valid Dumper, Roller, and Excavator (Digger) tickets.
- Proven experience working as a Groundworker within civil engineering or construction projects.
- Strong awareness of health & safety and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
