Orbit is delighted to be recruiting for a Save To Buy - Successful Tenancies Lead to join us in this brand new position within Orbit! In this role, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Save to Buy tenancy pathway (including Aspire to Buy and London Living Rent products), ensuring the service consistently achieves positive customer outcomes, meets funding and regulatory requirements, and supports Orbit’s wider neighbourhoods and homeownership ambitions.

The role provides strategic direction, governance and performance leadership across the end-to-end customer journey - setting standards, assuring quality and compliance, managing risk, and influencing stakeholders to deliver a high‑performing, customer-centred programme. The successful candidate will have experience leading successful Save to Buy programmes within a housing association. This role is part of our Customer directorate where you'll help us to lead the way in keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

What you’ll achieve

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Save to Buy Programme, translating policy, funding requirements and Orbit priorities into a clear operating model, service standards and customer journey expectations.
  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end customer pathway, using insight, performance data and customer feedback to prioritise change, remove bottlenecks and improve outcomes (purchase, sustainment, or supported exit).
  • Establish and oversee the programme’s governance and assurance framework, including quality standards, audit trails, decision records and escalation routes, ensuring defensible decision‑making and compliance.
  • Lead a risk‑based approach to compliance controls (e.g., eligibility and assessment checks, probity controls, deposit handling, and funding assurance), ensuring issues are identified early, mitigations are implemented and exceptions are escalated appropriately.
  • Set performance measures and service targets for Save to Buy, monitor delivery against agreed outcomes, and use performance management to drive timely interventions, capacity planning and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and shape the annual review approach (including final‑year reviews), ensuring it remains customer‑focused, proportionate and compliant, with clear decision points and onward pathways.

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to interpret procedures and translate them into clear work instructions, coaching and quality standards.
  • Strong project management experience working to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of information governance (GDPR), records management and customer confidentiality.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policy/procedure requirements and external funding requirements (e.g., Homes England/GLA) and translate them into practical controls, guidance and assurance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Competence in using CRM and document management systems and producing performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of Rent to Buy / London Living Rent / Rent to Shared Ownership schemes and funding body requirements (e.g., Homes England/GLA).
  • Experience of audit/quality assurance frameworks and process improvement.
