The role

Every day, more than 100,000 customers rely on us to provide safe, well-maintained homes and exceptional services. Behind every successful repairs contract, compliance programme and maintenance service is a carefully planned mobilisation that ensures customers experience seamless service from day one. We're looking for an experienced Senior Mobilisation Manager to lead some of the most significant service transitions within our Property Directorate. This is an opportunity to shape how major contracts are mobilised, transformed and successfully handed over, ensuring our customers continue to receive safe, compliant and high-quality services throughout every stage of change. This role is part of Property where you’ll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes. This role is offered as a fixed term contract for 18 months.

What you’ll achieve

As we continue to evolve how we deliver repairs, compliance, planned investment and maintenance services, we’re looking for someone who thrives on bringing structure to complexity and turning ambitious plans into operational reality. You’ll work across high-profile programmes, leading the mobilisation and demobilisation of critical property contracts, bringing together colleagues, suppliers and partners to deliver smooth transitions that protect customers, colleagues and business performance. If you enjoy solving complex operational challenges, influencing senior stakeholders and leaving behind sustainable operating models that continue to deliver long after implementation, this is the role for you. Reporting to the Head of Property Change, you’ll lead the planning, governance and delivery of complex mobilisation and demobilisation programmes across our Property Directorate.

  • Lead end-to-end mobilisation and demobilisation programmes across multiple contracts and services.
  • Build robust mobilisation plans, governance and assurance frameworks that minimise operational risk.
  • Work closely with operational teams, procurement, commercial, finance, HR, legal and technology colleagues to ensure every transition is fully integrated.
  • Lead supplier onboarding and exit activity, ensuring contractual obligations are delivered and operational readiness is achieved.
  • Oversee TUPE activity and workforce transitions, ensuring colleagues experience well-managed and compliant change.
  • Ensure continuity of repairs, maintenance and compliance services throughout mobilisation.
  • Monitor budgets, risks, programme milestones and governance, providing assurance to senior leaders throughout delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement, capturing lessons learned to strengthen future mobilisations.

What you’ll bring

  • You’ll be an experienced mobilisation or transformation professional who has successfully led complex service transitions within property, facilities management or another operationally critical environment.
  • Significant experience leading large-scale mobilisation and/or demobilisation programmes.
  • Experience within property services, facilities management, housing, infrastructure or other operational service environments.
  • Proven commercial understanding, including contract mobilisation, procurement and supplier management.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and third-party partners.
  • Excellent programme management, governance and risk management skills.

Desirable skills

  • Experience within social housing is welcome but not essential.
  • We’re equally interested in candidates from facilities management, outsourced property services, construction, infrastructure or other customer-facing operational environments where successful mobilisation is business critical.
