The role

Orbit are delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Treasury Analyst to support the Treasury Accountant/Treasury Operations Manager and take ownership of the Group’s Liquidity, cash management, loan and derivative management, cash flows, loan rollovers, derivatives and bank accounts. This role is part of Regulatory & Governance where you will help us give colleagues the support and expertise they need to be brilliant.

What you will achieve:

  • Provide support on the Group cashflow forecasts including decision making and analysis on a daily basis to support the growth of the business.
  • Manage the daily cash management and investment of surplus cash through money market funds in accordance with Treasury policy, as agreed with Treasury Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all Bank Accounts are funded as necessary to support the needs of the business and funding decisions are made to support the business’s cash requirements.
  • Support in arranging the loan drawdowns/repayments process with recommendation of amounts, lenders and dates to the Treasury Accountant/Treasury Operations Manager.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all relevant and up to date information for the disaster recovery portal is saved by the required deadline.

What you will bring:

Essential skills:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent (alternatively ideally part qualified or pursuing a professional accountancy qualification).
  • Experience of working in Finance.
  • Ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
  • Appropriate proven experience of Microsoft Excel including setting up, using and linking spreadsheets.
  • Analytical Approach; able to simplify complex problems, processes and projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an understandable way.
  • Experience and application of compliance, regulatory requirements, internal controls and documented processes.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Effective organisation skills and attention to detail.
