- About the Opportunity
This is a workshop-based role, not a dealership position.
We are looking for a hands-on technician with strong expertise in servicing and repairing Mercedes-Benz vans.
The ideal candidate enjoys working on a wide variety of mechanical repairs and diagnostics while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Mercedes-Benz vans.
- Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs.
- Carry out comprehensive engine overhauls and engine repairs.
- Replace and repair turbochargers, intake manifolds, and EGR systems.
- Perform major and minor transmission repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and resolve technical issues accurately.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and workshop quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of recent hands-on experience working on Mercedes-Benz vans.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with the ability to perform both diagnostics and repairs.
- Proven experience in engine rebuilds, turbo replacements, intake manifold repairs, EGR systems, and transmission repairs.
- Experience should primarily be with Mercedes-Benz vans rather than passenger cars or heavy trucks.
- A genuine interest in relocating to and building a long-term career in New Zealand.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
