Orbis Support are an employee-owned supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home. Orbis primarily supports?adults and?young people?with learning disabilities, autism, behaviour that challenges, enduring mental health difficulties and physical disabilities.

We?are currentlyrecruiting Female Support Workers to join our team in the East Denton area of Newcastle (This post has a “genuine occupational requirement” covered under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 & therefore only female applicants will be considered)

What we\’re looking for (preferred but not essential):

  • Moving and handling experience
  • A valid driving licence
  • Experience or willingness to learn skills such as PEG feeding, respiratory support, British Sign Language (BSL), and other bespoke care tasks

Don\’t worry if you don\’t have experience in every area, if you bring the right values and attitude, we\’ll provide all the training you need. In return, you\’ll join a supportive team, gain specialist skills, and have the chance to build genuine, lasting relationships in a role that\’s as rewarding as it is meaningful.

This role will involve providing 24 hr support including weekends, evenings & nights

£13.60per hour?& £120 for sleep in\’s, £10 enhancement on waking nights, average annual salary of £31,000 (based on full-time hours)
