Senior Frontend Engineer | TypeScript/React | Trading | £150k base + bonus | London

I\’m working with an energy trading firm that operates across the global commodities markets. The company is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help drive their trading and analytics platforms.

You’ll work closely with trading and product teams to design, develop and optimise UI components that are fast, intuitive and scalable. Prior experience in trading/financial service is not required but you must have worked in real‑time data environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance modern, high‑performance web interfaces for internal trading systems.
• Create sleek, data‑intensive user interfaces that allow traders and analysts to make rapid, high‑stakes decisions.
• Design, test and maintain reliable, production‑ready React applications.
• Contribute to discussions on UX, performance and system design across the wider engineering function.

Qualifications

• A deep appreciation for user‑centric design and clean, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with agile development and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical challenges for others.
• Experience building applications in real‑time data environments.
