Remote with frequent travel to Europe. Our client is a global crypto trading firm executing more than $5B in daily trading volume. Trading Operations sits at the heart of the business, responsible for round-the-clock trading continuity, accurate settlements, precise P&L, disciplined capital management, and a secure operating environment.
This role is for an experienced operator who can scale systems, lead teams, and impose order on fast-moving markets.
The Role
You will own and lead the Trading Operations function, ensuring seamless execution across trade booking, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing liquidity, margin, collateral, and capital across centralized exchanges, DeFi venues, trading counterparties, custodians, and banking partners
- Designing resilient, low-error operational processes while driving automation and efficiency
- Developing a deep understanding of on- and off-exchange trading workflows and requirements
- Working closely with Trading, Finance, and Risk to validate end-to-end flows and deliver accurate, timely reporting
- Hiring, mentoring, and leading a globally distributed team providing 24/7 operational coverage
- Setting KPIs, strengthening controls, and continuously improving speed, accuracy, and reliability
What You Bring
- 7+ years’ experience in Trading Operations, Settlements, or a closely related function
- A strong track record of process improvement and automation
- Experience leading international or distributed teams
- The ability to influence across functions and align stakeholders on change
- Strong numerical intuition and analytical thinking
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to execution
- Confidence prioritising in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
- A naturally questioning mindset — you challenge assumptions and dig into root causes
- Clear, effective communication and data-driven decision making
- Fluency in English
