I’m working with a leading global alternative investment manager looking to add a Credit Middle Office Specialist to its London team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Credit Derivatives Middle experience who wants to move into a more technical and investment-facing position, with exposure to portfolio managers, complex fund structures, valuations, P&L and wider change initiatives.

Sitting within the Public Markets Credit business, you’ll support a range of fixed income and credit strategies and take ownership across key areas of fund and portfolio operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing pricing and valuations across bonds, loans, CDS and other fixed income/credit instruments.
- Analysing and explaining daily portfolio P&L and providing performance information to investment teams.
- Reviewing NAV calculations across complex fund structures and working with external administrators to investigate discrepancies.

- Managing operational activity around fund launches, closures and significant investor cash flows.
- Supporting portfolio activity including rebalancing and FX hedging associated with subscriptions and redemptions.
- Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Technology.
- Providing MI and analysis covering performance, trading activity, fees and portfolio costs.
- Supporting wider fund migrations, system implementations and regulatory/change initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve controls and automate manual processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income and Credit products, ideally including bonds, CDS and loans.
- Experience within Product Control, Fund Operations, Fund Accounting.
- Good knowledge of NAVs, pricing/valuations and P&L within fixed income or credit portfolios.
- Exposure to complex fund structures and external fund administrator oversight would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with pricing sources such as Bloomberg and Markit.
- Strong Excel skills and an interest in developing Python and/or SQL for automation and reporting.
- Comfortable working directly with Front Office / investment teams and senior stakeholders.
- An interest in process improvement, technology and operational change.
Why consider it?
This isn't a traditional processing-focused Middle Office position. You'll have direct exposure to investment teams and portfolio managers, while developing deeper knowledge across credit valuations, fund structures and portfolio performance.
You'll also join a highly regarded global investment business that places significant emphasis on technology, data and automation, giving you the opportunity to become involved in projects beyond your day-to-day Middle Office responsibilities.
