Our client is looking for a commercially minded Business Analyst to join a growing UK wealth management and financial advice business undergoing significant transformation and expansion. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of strategy, operations, data and technology. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, advisers, operations teams and IT delivery specialists to help shape and deliver strategic change across the business.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives across the organisation, helping to define business requirements, improve operational processes and support technology-enabled change. A major focus of the role will involve ownership and reporting oversight of the firm’s client portal environment, including management information, stakeholder reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. This role would suit someone who enjoys balancing hands-on analysis with stakeholder engagement, and who is comfortable operating across both operational detail and strategic planning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business Analysis & Discovery
    • Lead discovery activities for strategic business initiatives
    • Gather and document business requirements, user stories and process maps
    • Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder sessions across multiple business functions
    • Translate operational needs into deliverable technology and process solutions
  • Reporting, Data & Insights
    • Produce executive and board-level MI and reporting packs
    • Build dashboards and operational reporting using tools such as Excel and Power BI
    • Analyse client engagement, operational performance and service metrics
    • Support data integrity and reconciliation across systems and platforms
  • Change & Project Delivery
    • Partner closely with IT and project delivery teams to support implementation
    • Assist with project planning, governance and dependency management
    • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and business readiness activities
    • Support change adoption through communications, training and stakeholder engagement
    • Track benefits realisation and project outcomes post-implementation
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and client experience
    • Support process optimisation and technology enhancement initiatives
    • Maintain documentation across systems, integrations and workflows
    • Promote data-led decision making and KPI tracking across the business

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, wealth management or a regulated environment
  • Strong background delivering technology-enabled change projects
  • Experience gathering requirements, process mapping and stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Excel and Power BI (or similar BI tools)
  • Exposure to CRM systems, client portals or wealth management platforms
  • Understanding of FCA-regulated environments and Consumer Duty principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously

Desirable

  • Business Analysis certifications (BCS, IIBA, Lean Six Sigma etc.)
  • Experience with SQL or modern reporting environments
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Experience with operating model transformation, migrations or acquisition integration
  • Interest in AI-enabled tooling and process automation within financial services
