Do you have the passion to help others live happy, fulfilled lives?
At Priority, part of Orbis Education & Care, we deliver truly person-centred support — real people helping real people to thrive.
We’re now looking for Support Workers to join our friendly, supportive team at our beautiful four-bedroom home near Bridgend , set within two acres of peaceful Welsh countryside. This warm, nurturing environment is a place where individuals with complex needs — including learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism — can grow in confidence, develop life skills and enjoy greater independence.
If you want to play a meaningful role in helping people achieve their potential, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting adults with their daily needs to ensure emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
- Building strong, trusting relationships so each person feels safe, valued and understood.
- Encouraging independence and helping people develop essential life skills.
- Supporting activities at home, during education programmes, or out in the community.
- Working closely with your team to tailor support to each individual’s needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of progress, activities and any incidents.
- Helping with day-to-day household tasks like cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.
What We’re Looking For in a Support Worker
You don’t need previous care experience — just the right values and attitude. We’re looking for:
- A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can‑do mindset.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and waking nights as part of a rota.
- A full UK driving licence (due to our peaceful rural location).
- A willingness to learn — full training is provided!
Right to Work Requirement
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and, where applicable, hold a visa with at least 18 months remaining at the time of application. We cannot accept applications from Student Visa holders or candidates requiring sponsorship or sponsorship transfers. Successful candidates with a time‑limited right to work will be employed on a fixed‑term contract ending on their visa expiry date.
Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.
