We are now looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Bridgend. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting both individuals and the wider staff team.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will help lead by example, supporting adults with complex needs while guiding and mentoring Support Workers on shift. You will be handsâon, confident, and focused on maintaining high standards of care, safety, and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and provide dayâtoâday guidance and support to the staff team
- Ensure personâcentred support plans are followed and regularly reviewed
- Support adults with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, and independence
- Work collaboratively with managers, families, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews, and support risk assessments
- Promote a positive, calm, and safe environment within the service
- Act as a role model, supporting team development and good practice
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a support or care role (ideally supporting adults with SEMH and/or autism)
- QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
- Confidence to lead shifts and support others
- A calm, resilient, and personâcentred approach
- Enhanced DBS check (required for regulated activity with adults)
