About The Role
Senior Support Worker –Ty Nelson
Hourly Rate: £12.80 to £13.70 per hour
Full Time: 40.25 hours per week

The Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll not only provide high-quality support to individuals with autism, but you’ll also take on a leadership role, supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the development of care plans, promoting independence, and ensuring the wellbeing of residents. This role is perfect for someone who has experience in care and is looking to take the next step in their career, combining direct support with team leadership.
What a Day Looks Like as a Senior Support Worker in Orbis:
• Providing direct support to individuals with autism in their day-to-day activities
• Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and maintaining a homely environment
• Supporting residents in engaging in recreational, social, and educational activities
• Leading and mentoring a team of Support Workers, ensuring high standards of care
• Developing and reviewing tailored care plans to reflect each person’s strengths and goals
• Promoting independence, wellbeing, and confidence for the individuals we support
• Collaborating with families, professionals, and the wider team to ensure quality care
• Keeping accurate, up-to-date records and reports in line with care standards
We’re Looking for People Who Are:
• Experienced in supporting individuals with autism or in similar care settings
• QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Passionate about making a difference and providing high-quality care
• Great leaders, able to motivate and mentor a team while maintaining high standards
• Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Committed to continuous learning and personal development
• Flexible with shift patterns, including weekends and occasional night shifts
• A driving licence is essential
