About The Role Deputy Manager – Ty Nelson, Treharris – Salary: £29,175 – £29,705 per year – Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week At Orbis Education and Care, we’re looking for a dedicated and inspiring Deputy Manager to join our warm and supportive team at Ty Nelson. About Ty Nelson Situated in the peaceful village of Nelson, Ty Nelson is home to up to four young adults making the exciting transition into adulthood. Here, care is tailored to each individual, encouraging independence, meaningful community involvement, and personal growth through a wide range of activities, learning opportunities, and leisure programmes. As our Deputy Manager, you will: Support the Home Manager in achieving regulatory compliance, delivering exceptional care, and driving continuous improvement. Lead by example, deputising in the Manager’s absence and inspiring your team to excel. Support staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development. Oversee day-to-day operations, including transitions for residents. Act as a mentor and role model, ensuring the team delivers the highest standard of care.What we’re looking for: QCF Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care. Minimum 2 years’ experience in care, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and the Active Support model. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
