Support Worker – Port Talbot – Hourly rate £11.60 to £12.50 per hour – Full Time: 40.25 hours per week, Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals with autism, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead active, socially valued lives. Your commitment to person-centred care and your ability to build strong, positive relationships will be key to success in this role.

About Coed Parc House: Nestled in Cwmavon near Port Talbot, Coed Parc offers six stunning sole-occupancy apartments tailored for adults aged 18 and above. Each apartment features private bedrooms, kitchens, lounges, and bathrooms, meticulously designed to meet the individual needs of our residents, ensuring comfort and personalized living spaces.

A day in the life of working at Coed Parc House includes:

  • Provide day-to-day support to individuals with autism, ensuring their well-being and safety.

  • Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each person’s needs and aspirations.

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in social, recreational, and educational activities.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and personal growth.

  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to provide holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.

  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.

  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
