Support Worker – Rosendale, Lydstep

Orbis Education and Care invites you to join our team as a Support Worker at Rosendale, Lydstep.

Full Time: 43.4 hours per week – part‑time and night shifts are also available. Annual location allowance of £1,500.

We’re a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and adults with complex needs associated with autism.

A day in the life of working at Rosendale includes:

  • Ensuring physical and emotional needs of residents are met in a supportive environment.
  • Supporting residents during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Promoting independence, self‑esteem, and confidence and celebrating achievements.
  • Collaborating to tailor support for individual needs.
  • Keeping accurate records of activities, progress, and incidents.
  • Performing general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

We are looking for people who care and have:

  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
  • A full UK driving licence – essential for transport to appointments and activities.
  • The right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining on your visa (if applicable).
  • No experience needed – just passion, patience and commitment.

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
