We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the Multi Skilled Engineer will be responsible for planned maintenance activities in line with equipment and schedule attainment, developing new activities where and when required, whilst always taking into consideration health and safety standards and legislation. The role also includes project work and will support the Lead Engineers in maintaining plant and equipment, customer service requirements and required OEE.
The role:
- Conduct day to day maintenance activities, maintaining machine availability.
- Conduct proactive work including PPM and improvement work.
- Actively and analytically fault find.
- Contribute to implementing new working methods and actively participate in continuous improvement.
- Involvement in site projects.
- Maintain maintenance monitoring.
- Operate in line with all health and safety standards.
- Implement and adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation.
- Support the Lead Engineers in implementing workplace organisation across the engineering department.
- Mentor Apprentices within the Maintenance department.
- Attend daily engineering steering, weekly RCA and monthly energy meetings.
The profile:
The successful candidate will have experience operating as a qualified Engineer, preferably with an electrical bias within a manufacturing environment. The post holder will possess strong technical knowledge in injection moulding, extrusion and automated assembly systems and demonstrate excellent communication skills across all mediums with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders. In addition to organisational and prioritisation skills, a high degree of flexibility is also required to ensure business needs are met.
The post holder will also be required to be ONC Qualified/Apprentice Trained. HNC Qualified is also desirable.
