We are currently looking for a UK Electrical and Energy Projects Engineer to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the UK Electrical and Energy Projects Engineer will provide electrical engineering support to all UK and Ireland sites, ensuring business continuity and health and safety and legal compliance. The role will also support energy management and energy reduction projects.

  • Ensure full electrical compliance across all sites.
  • Function as the single point of contact for the management, maintenance, and support of High Voltage and Low Voltage infrastructure across all sites.
  • Lead electrical, automation and sustainability projects to improve efficiency and safety across all sites, providing detailed and accurate technical support, including troubleshooting.
  • Support site infrastructure, maintenance and development plans.
  • Monitor electrical energy consumption across all sites and identify opportunities for improvement through technology, process, and behavioural change.
  • Operate as a sustainability champion, sharing and implementing energy saving best practices across all sites.
  • Ensure all supplier and maintenance contracts operate in accordance with best practice and provide maximum cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will have experience within electrical engineering and project management, ideally within a plastics or clayware manufacturing environment. An excellent communicator across all mediums with strong stakeholder management skills developed through multi-site operations experience and simultaneous project management. We are keen to welcome an accountable and reliable team player who possesses an ability to operate with autonomy and flexibility due to the demand for frequent travel between the UK and Ireland. A strong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Act 1989 is essential in addition to experience ensuring electrical compliance and assuming ultimate technical responsibility. The postholder will also have experience in functioning as a single point of contact for the management and maintenance of High Voltage and Low Voltage infrastructure within a manufacturing setting and ideally have a passion to lead electrical, automation and sustainability projects, providing accurate and detailed reporting. A high degree of computer literacy is required for the role and the postholder must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with AutoCAD and MS Project is also desirable, but not essential.
