We are currently looking for a Distribution Supervisor - Nights to join us at Chippenham. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
The role
- Proactively manage the Health and Safety systems and procedures driving safety KPIs to ensure accident prevention and safety improvement.
- Manage S&D activity within Chippenham Distribution to achieve KPI targets and business objectives with daily, weekly and monthly review of all KPIs with team members.
- Co-ordinate departmental productivity improvement through effective resource management and operator flexibility.
- Manage and monitor picking productivity/quality to ensure output from the team.
- Identify and act with poor performers/high achievers.
- Co-ordinate S&D activities in conjunction with Customer Service Departments to ensure that Customer service and Operational efficiencies are maximized.
- Co-ordinate activities with Factory Management and production planning to ensure that operational efficiency is maintained and improved.
- Manage stock integrity control measures.
- Communicate effectively with employees, lead and motivate in order to develop relations and successfully manage personnel resources.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels to deliver service demands.
The profile
- 3+ years of experience within a Distribution supervisory role.
- Knowledge of Lean Practices, Six Sigma: desirable.
- ILM Level 3.
- IOSH qualified.
- IT Literate.
- SAP knowledge: preferred.
