We are currently looking for a Specification Sales Manager UCR to join us at Wavin. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager UK & Ireland UCR, the Specification Sales Manager UCR will be responsible for engaging early in the project value chain with key client segments and stakeholders in city development, infra or building projects. It involves providing highly technical advice. The job holder is expected to build and develop UCR business.

The role:

  • Position Wavin as relevant partner for decision makers and designers in the stormwater management environment
  • Act as technical trusted advisor on climate resilience for our clients and stormwater management
  • Drive the execution of the UCR go-to-market strategy in the country
  • Assume responsibility for building up a solid project pipeline within the UCR business
  • Take accountability for your own sales results and Individual Seller Plan
  • Pro-actively seek and develop new business opportunities
  • Design and calculate systems on a project level
  • Guide and support the sales team to secure the achievement of objectives in terms of market position, growth and profitability
  • Provide structured market feedback to Local Product Management
  • Support in shaping local value propositions
  • Effectively use CRM as a tool to manage the UCR business in the country. Keep customer accounts updated, logs regular F2F meetings for target accounts and shares account development progress
  • Plan and work according to SAMBA methodology and apply the relevant tools in the different phases
  • Act as the technical point of contact for the sales team and customers, co-ordinate technical requests and solve issues
  • Build and share market intelligence by demonstrating and maintaining an excellent understanding of customers, markets, competitors, products, and applications
  • Translate from legislative text to business language and propositions (and vice versa)

The profile:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant Specification, Technical or Commercial experience
  • Experience in technical project sales professional with an engineering bias
  • Technical background and experience in design, evaluation and construction of stormwater management or similar Urban Climate Resilience systems
