Fluor and Energy Materials , an Orbia business, is hiring an Analytical Scientist to be based at Thornton Science Park, Cheshire, UK .
Main Purpose
Support the MDI Services business analytical testing requirements in compliance with applicable cGMP guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Source, install and qualification of Analytical Equipment.
- Undertake validation, verification, and transfer of Analytical Test Procedures to and from the Fluor and Energy Materials MDI services facility.
- Generate plans, protocols and reports based on approved activities.
- Collect, prepare, and perform testing on samples using Analytical Test Procedures.
- Record and analyse test data according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Clean, maintain, calibrate, and assess the performance of the Analytical Equipment.
- Provide test results and experimental data to agreed schedules.
- Produce timely and accurate reports to management.
- Write SOPs for approval.
- Conduct risk assessment and recommend improvements to laboratory procedures, techniques, and technologies.
- Maintain inventory control of materials, equipment and consumables, and re-order stocks as required.
- Develop training materials and provide training to other members of Fluor and Energy Materials MDI Services team.
- Supervise temporary staff and students working in the laboratory.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum: HNC in science related subject.
Knowledge/ Experience Required
- Experience of working in a Development/QC testing laboratory.
- Knowledge of working in cGMP development laboratory environment.
- Excellent computer, literacy, and numeracy proficiency.
