Within the Nuclear Safety discipline of Orano Limited, you will lead and deliver technically competent documents, striving to exceed client requirements. You will work independently and support other Nuclear Safety consultants, ensuring high-standard, timely delivery across new build, decommissioning, and ongoing operational facilities. Opportunities exist to develop new skills and mentor graduate consultants. As a Nuclear Safety Principal Consultant, you will lead, manage or deliver nuclear safety documents across the full lifecycle of nuclear operations for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consultancy that meets and exceeds client expectations of technical excellence and quality of deliverables.
- Deliver consultancy that meets and exceeds client expectations of timescales and cost, supporting the long-term growth of the business and its reputation.
- Act as the technical lead for projects, directly answerable to the client or the Orano Lead for progress and quality of deliverables.
- Provide nuclear safety advice and guidance for multi-discipline projects, interfacing with engineers, human factors specialists and other disciplines.
- Develop and present robust and reasoned arguments in a rational and coherent manner.
- Provide technical checking and/or verification for technical/compliance/thoroughness of argument/QA standards.
- Liaise with all concerned parties on technical progress.
- Take documents through all levels of client governance (e.g., technical checking, peer review, safety committees).
- Stakeholder management internally and for clients.
- Work with, support, and develop less experienced consultants.
- Develop your own skills or refresh existing skills.
- Work with the Business Development Team to identify opportunities with clients to develop the business.
- Work with the bid team in the production of bids.
