About us: Located just a short stroll from Richmond station and next to West London’s famous Orange Tree Theatre you’ll find a delight and a home from home for all rugby fans out there in The Orange Tree pub. Well known for our historic attachment to sports, The Orange Tree offers brilliant service, a friendly atmosphere and a well‑stocked bar. Boasting HD screens galore it’s the perfect place to catch the match if you’ve missed out on tickets to Twickenham, but The Orange Tree still maintains a warm and traditional pub feel with old‑fashioned cask ale pumps and dimly lit hanging lanterns. We all know rugby players are big eaters and that rugby fans love a drink; thank god then that we serve a delightful menu to satisfy even the largest of appetites, but there is also a truly delightful lunch and evening menu too. This comprises of all the old British classics served with a modern twist and a kind smile. A great South London pub. We also have 13 beautiful boutique bedrooms in our hotel beautifully decorated. Located in a leafy suburb of London and with easy connections to Twickenham Stadium and the city centre, The Orange Tree is an ideal choice.

What we look for in a Sous Chef:

  • We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step, who considers themselves as a natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome.
  • As the successful Sous Chef you will:
  • Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
  • Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team
  • Be an active hands‑on Chef with excellent communication skills
  • Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
  • Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
  • Have a pro‑active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
