Job Title: Plant Operative – OCL Regeneration
This job description defines the overall purpose of the job, the key tasks and end results required to fulfil the purpose of the role. All contractual requirements of the job are contained in the individual contract of employment, including location, territory, hours of work etc. This job description is subject to periodic revision and is there to assist managers in developing their staff and employees to understand the requirement of their job.
Scope
OCL operates aggregate and (CDM) recycling centres. We specialise in the intake of bituminous wastes to be used in our own sustainable alternatives to traditional asphalt. We also recycle all other types of construction and demolition waste with our crushers, screeners and mixers to create value-added surfacing materials and aggregates.
We are looking to recruit a Plant Operative to work as a multi skilled member of the existing team. Duties will involve, driving the loading shovel and excavator, training can be provided. Weighbridge clerk; Crushing & screening.
The Plant Operative is also responsible for logistics and accurate record keeping of wastes in and materials out. This role is the first point of contact for clients and visitors, so we are seeking someone who is approachable, personable and welcoming at all times.
The Avonmouth depot is a small team, so the successful candidate will value teamwork and is prepared to provide support across core tasks when needed.
