Job Title: Part-Time Solicitor

Location: Mathie Lennox & Co., Market Chambers, Kilsyth, Glasgow G65 0AZ

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Part-time (3 days per week, exact days to be discussed)

The Role:

We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our practice on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will also be expected to work alongside our Cashier in a financial management capacity. The role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible working arrangement within a small, close-knit team in a thriving law firm.

Areas of Work Include:

  • Conveyancing (residential and/or commercial)
  • Wills & Administration of Estates
  • Family Law
  • General Civil Litigation

We are open to candidates with experience in one or more of these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures
  • Assisting in the financial compliance within the firm

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (holding a valid Practicing Certificate with the Law Society of Scotland (or capable of obtaining one)) with at least 2 years PQE (preferred)
  • Experience in high street legal practice (preferred)
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A friendly, approachable attitude with a team spirit
