Location: Chesterfield or Manchester

The Role: You’ll manage and deliver SEO activity across a portfolio of client accounts, taking ownership of day‑to‑day SEO delivery for multiple small and mid‑sized retainers. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Area: Focus
- Strategy & Delivery: Own SEO activity across small to mid‑sized retainers; prioritise by impact and business value
- Technical SEO: Run audits (crawlability, Core Web Vitals, indexation); brief developers using GSC, GA4, SEMrush, Screaming Frog/Sitebulb
- Content & On‑Page: Keyword research, competitor analysis, on‑page optimisation, ecommerce SEO where relevant
- Reporting & Clients: Translate data into clear next steps; manage client relationships across a varied portfolio
- AI‑Enabled Working: Use Claude for research, reporting and QA; apply judgement to keep outputs accurate and client‑appropriate; stay current on AI Overviews and LLM visibility
What We’re Looking For:
- 3-4+ years’ hands‑on SEO experience, including ownership of at least one sizeable ecommerce or lead‑gen site
- Solid technical grounding: crawls, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonicalisation, redirects
- Confident with GSC, GA4, and a major platform (SEMrush, Ahrefs or Sistrix), plus a crawler (Screaming Frog/Sitebulb)
- Strong communicator who can explain data to clients with varying SEO knowledge
- Comfortable using Claude or similar AI tools day to day, with the judgement to quality‑check the output
Nice to Have:
- Agency background managing 6-10 retainers
- In‑house ecommerce experience, CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Magento)
- Track record of measurable SEO wins: traffic growth, migrations, content hub growth
- Pitch/new business exposure
- Marketing or Digital Marketing degree
