The purpose of this role is to find a candidate who can hit the ground running within our newly established Merchandising department. The summary of main duties & responsibilities is not intended to be an exhaustive list of tasks performed. You may be required to undertake additional duties as are necessary to promote the smooth and efficient running of the business.
Planning
- Develop detailed assortment and category plans considering past, present, future & market performance in conjunction with Product and Design.
- Production of analysis for lessons learnt and building strategy for the future.
- Sales, Stock and OTB planning utilising the WSSI and Terminal Stock controls.
- Work with Merchandising team and Finance to reflect required planned intake aligned with the company cash flow.
- Plan the sales and stock levels to optimise performance of Crown Jewel (best sellers).
Trading
- Analyse the performance in season driving out team actions plans and recommendations.
- Analyse the performance in season and adjust future months in conjunction with Product and Design team.
- Sales, Stock and OTB monthly re-forecasting using WSSI and Terminal Stock controls.
- Weekly/monthly forecasting on Crown Jewels (Best sellers).
- Markdown and Promotional management in line with required margins and stock levels.
- Have a full understanding of Merchandising Systems.
Stock Management
- Planning and in season management of stock levels.
- Planning and Maintenance of Never being out of stock of Crown Jewels and Essentials.
- Management of Intake, Deliveries and supporting the management of Delivery Schedule.
- Oversee the Raising and management of Purchase Orders for Product.
- Build relationship with Suppliers to ensure intake is in line with plans and when required.
- Build relationship with Freight Forwarding partner to ensure deliveries are on time.
- Build relationship with Warehouse team to ensure goods are booked in, delivered & picked.
Team
- Develop and manage Merchandise Assistant.
- Collaborate with product and design team, suppliers, finance, retail, digital and other cross functional teams.
- Deputise for Merchandising Lead in meetings.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- 4 Years + as a Merchandiser.
- Use of WSSI Merchandising tools.
- Fluent with Excel and systems.
