Subcool Servicing Ltd is a specialist provider of refrigeration, air conditioning, HVAC and maintenance services across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding engineering team covering Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who is client-focused, technically skilled and capable of working independently as part of a mobile service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance and repair of domestic air conditioning systems, chillers and heat pumps.
- Working on a wide range of equipment including VRV/VRF systems, split systems, air handling units (AHUs), and heat recovery systems.
- Fault finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
- Leak testing and compliance checks in line with F-Gas regulations.
- Completing all site paperwork, compliance documentation and digital job reports using systems/tablets.
- Maintaining high health & safety standards on all sites.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Participation in call-out rota where applicable.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of all air conditioning systems.
- Experience working with BMS controls and HVAC plant equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose faults effectively.
- Experience carrying out maintenance and installation works within commercial environments.
- Good understanding of compliance procedures and site documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the HVAC/Refrigeration industry.
- City & Guilds Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (minimum required).
- City & Guilds Level 3 preferred.
- Valid F-Gas Certification (C&G 2079 or equivalent).
- Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps would be advantageous.
