From school groups experiencing the outdoors for the first time to adult learners developing their knowledge and confidence, the sessions you deliver will help people build a deeper understanding of the natural world.
Make a difference
As a tutor, you will deliver engaging Geography, Biology, Environmental Science field trips alongside a wide range of outdoor education experiences for school groups, colleges, universities, families, and adult learners. Your role will include planning and delivering sessions, adapting activities to suit different learners, and making sure everything you do is safe and inclusive. You will also contribute to the development of new activities and work closely with a supportive education team to improve and grow what we offer. When you are not delivering in the field, you will support the wider running of a busy education centre. This is an active role, and some weeks can be busy and demanding, but it is also highly rewarding work.

Set within the 850-acre Margam Park estate, surrounded by woodland, open grassland and freshwater habitats, this is a workplace shaped by its landscape. The diverse environments around the centre create a natural outdoor classroom for learners of all ages. Based in an award‑winning, low‑carbon building, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire others while helping people connect with nature in a setting designed for learning and discovery.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and some experience of teaching or tutoring. You’ll be confident planning sessions, preparing learning resources, and engaging a wide range of learners. Knowledge of the National Curriculum, Geography, Biology or Environmental Science specifications would be advantageous.
