Safer Wales is an independent charity whose mission is to support, protect and empower groups of people that are often invisible in society. We are now recruiting for a Young Adult Hub Engagement and Participation Worker at our Young Adult Hub in Cardiff.
Job Description
- Based: Cardiff main office, with travel expected when meeting clients.
- Salary Scale: MS3 £26,056.63-£26,577.76-£27,109.32
- Hours per week: 36:25 hours, 5 days per week
- Fixed term basis to 30th April 2028, may be extended subject to funding.
- Offer is subject to Eligibility to Work in the UK check, satisfactory references and enhanced DBS.

Our innovative Young Adult Hub is the first of its kind in Wales to support young adults in the Criminal Justice System and we are seeking an energetic worker to increase support for ethnically diverse young people. Our Young Adult Hub is located within the city centre and provides a trauma-informed safe space for young adults to access.
Job outline:
- You will identify ethnically diverse young adults and work on their strengths through the delivery of our activities and support in a trauma-informed way.
- You will help deliver activities for young adults and support the provision of a wide range of activities which include well-being, cooking and access to wider support activities.
- You will work with our wider team and partners to develop their skills and support networks.
You’ll bring:
- Experience supporting young people.
- Knowledge of the needs of young adults in the criminal justice system.
- Confidence working in multi-agency operational partnerships.
