About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar PV Electrician to join our growing team. The role involves working across a range of residential and commercial projects, installing and commissioning solar PV systems, battery storage, and associated electrical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to be part of a forward-thinking renewable energy company. Occasional working away for short periods may be required, depending on project location.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of solar PV inverters and battery storage systems
- Carrying out service, maintenance, and inspection works on existing systems
- Installation of AC supplies, containment, and cable runs
- Fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting of PV and battery systems
- Completing commissioning documentation and handover packs
- Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671, MCS standards, and health & safety requirements
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Valid CSCS or ECS card (required)
- Experience in solar PV and/or battery storage systems (preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical installations and testing procedures
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with SolarEdge systems
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Previous experience in commercial PV installations
