Multi-Site Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation – Maintenance Manager
Purpose of the Position
Central and Southern are committed to ensuring that children and young people are effectively safeguarded in all the services we provide. Safeguarding and child protection must always be the highest priority and at the forefront of everything we do. The Maintenance Manager plays a key role in ensuring that all C & S homes and facilities, including ensuring the children’s residential homes, are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. The role involves overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and supporting external contracts where needed to deliver effective and timely repairs. This position is integral to creating a nurturing environment that upholds our BRIGHT values: Belonging, Respect, Impact, Growth, Happiness, and Trust — ensuring our homes remain welcoming, functional, and safe for our children and our staff members.
Base Location: Exeter based but with travel to Crediton and Bodmin
Hours: Full Time 40hrs week
Typical working week: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and call outs
You must be eligible to work full time in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

- General Maintenance Works
- Basic Plumbing & Electrical
- Carpentry Background Preferred
- Painting and Decorating
- Cover multiple homes in Devon and Cornwall

Your Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining properties
- Being responsible and trustworthy
- General maintenance checks
- Delivering and collecting goods
- Accessing the maintenance tracker and selecting jobs based on importance and updating the tracker once complete (Basic IT capabilities)
Additional Information:
To work as an integrated part of the team. Additional Training relevant to the role will be provided. Any successful applicants will require full recruitment checks and an Enhanced DBS Disclosure & Barring Service (paid by us).
Salary: £34,000 (van will be provided)
