Role Description

The L6 Career Development Professional tutor/assessor is a part-time, on-site role based in London. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners working towards Level 6 Career Development qualifications. Day-to-day tasks include planning and facilitating engaging sessions, assessing learner work against qualification standards, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners to develop their professional practice. The tutor/assessor will conduct progress reviews, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with awarding body and organizational requirements. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, contributing to curriculum development, and promoting best practice in career development within the childcare and education sectors.

Qualifications

• Cambridge OCR Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development




• CAVA/TAQA/A1




• Strong career-focused skills, including Career Counseling and Career Development, to guide and support learners' professional growth.




• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues.




• Robust Analytical Skills to interpret evidence, assess learner performance, and make informed decisions about progress and achievement.




• Relevant teaching, tutoring, or assessing experience, ideally within career development, childcare, education, or related fields.




• Knowledge of current sector standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in training and assessment




• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.




• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusive learning, with a learner-centered approach.
