Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £55,000
The shift pattern – nice and simple:
Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between:
- 6:00am–2:30pm
- 9:30am–6:00pm
1 weekend in every 3: You'll work Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am–3:30pm.
When you work the weekend, you'll get 2 weekdays off the following week, with flexibility around which days you take.
So you'll never work more than 5 days in a week. No nights.
Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based maintenance role with no night shifts?
We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment.
You'll be joining a team of five engineers, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The role is a good mix of planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement.
They're open on bias too – whether you're stronger electrically or mechanically, they're happy to consider you providing you're comfortable working across both. xgikmsk
What you'll be doing:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and breakdowns
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Diagnosing faults and reducing production downtime
- Maintenance and improvement of production machinery
- Continuous improvement and reliability work
- Engineering projects and equipment modifications
- Supporting contractors when required
What we're looking for:
- Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, food, FMCG or a similar environment
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Engineering qualifications are desirable
