Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking for a role that combines hands-on engineering with projects, infrastructure improvements and long-term site development? This is a newly created position supporting a large manufacturing operation. You'll take ownership of the site's electrical infrastructure, helping deliver HV maintenance, energy efficiency projects, electrical upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives while also supporting the wider engineering team.

What's On Offer- Salary up to £55,000
- Quarterly bonus scheme paying between 2.5% and 15%

- Supporting the maintenance and development of the site's HV and LV electrical infrastructure
- Managing statutory inspections and planned maintenance of electrical distribution systems
- Supporting HV upgrades and electrical infrastructure improvement projects
- Improving site energy management and electrical efficiency
- Carrying out electrical fault finding across industrial plant and equipment
- Supporting PLC, CNC and SCADA fault diagnosis where required
- Managing specialist contractors and OEM service providers
- Developing preventative maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability
- Working across multiple company sites supporting engineering projects
- Contributing to major engineering initiatives including Project Vulcan
- Experience working as an Electrical Engineer, Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Projects Engineer, Electrical Reliability Engineer or similar
- Strong industrial electrical background within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Experience working with HV/LV electrical systems or a desire to develop within this area
- Good electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience reading electrical engineering drawings
- Experience supporting engineering projects and contractor management would be advantageous
- HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical engineering qualification
- Knowledge of PLCs, CNC or SCADA systems would be beneficial
This role would suit engineers from manufacturing, steel, power generation, chemicals, utilities, paper, cement, glass, FMCG or other heavy industrial environments who are looking to broaden their responsibilities into electrical infrastructure, HV systems and engineering projects.
