Want a role where you own the electrical reliability of a major manufacturing site? This Lead Engineer (Electrical) role offers real authority and impact. Following major investment — including newly commissioned furnaces — the site is entering a key reliability and improvement phase. You’ll be the senior electrical authority on site, responsible for all electrical maintenance and improvement activity. You’ll lead two Electrical Technicians, support the wider engineering team, and help shape the future of the site.
What You’ll Be Doing – Lead Engineer (Electrical)
- Owning all electrical engineering activity across the factory
- Leading planned maintenance and driving reliability improvements
- Managing and developing two Day Electrical Technicians
- Supporting electrical breakdowns when needed
- Building and delivering the PM regime through the CMMS (Agility)
- Leading electrical work during shutdowns and outages
- Driving standards in electrical safety, compliance and housekeeping
- Working on heavy plant including furnaces and complex manufacturing equipment
- Leading RCA and continuous improvement activity
- Managing electrical spares, contractors and OEM support
What We’re Looking For – Lead Engineer (Electrical)
- Strong electrical bias with a recognised qualification or apprenticeship
- Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Confident electrical fault-finding skills
- Comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on work
- Experience with CMMS, PPM and continuous improvement
- A steady engineer who takes ownership and raises standards
