Ready to lead a complex food manufacturing operation where your decisions genuinely shape performance? This is a nights-based Manufacturing Manager opportunity within a high-volume food production environment, offering full accountability for shift performance across people, safety, quality and output. Leading from raw material intake through processing, packing and dispatch, this Manufacturing Manager role is all about ownership, pace and leadership on the shop floor.
Working closely with the Factory Manager and fellow Manufacturing Managers, you'll take charge of operational delivery on shift, embedding lean thinking, driving continuous improvement and developing teams that consistently exceed targets.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading the night shift operation across processing, baking, packing and dispatch
- Owning performance against safety, quality, service, cost, waste and OEE targets
- Creating a strong safety-first culture and acting as senior escalation point on shift
- Coaching, developing and managing teams through effective leadership and engagement
- Driving continuous improvement activity using lean manufacturing tools
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, GMP and audit standards
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager or Shift Manager in food manufacturing
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing large, multi-skilled teams
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Knowledge of food safety systems including HACCP, quality and hygiene standards
- Confidence managing performance, absence, discipline and shift resource planning
- IOSH, HACCP Level 3 or CI qualifications preferred (or commitment to achieve)

- Salary: £53,535.75 per annum
- Shift pattern: Nights, 3 on 3 off (7pm - 7am)
- Holiday: 22 days inclusive of bank holidays
