The Role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a large manufacturing facility
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production equipment
  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting the development and improvement of preventative maintenance schedules
  • Using CMMS systems to record maintenance activities and work orders
  • Identifying and ordering critical spare parts
  • Working alongside specialist OEM engineers when required
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across the site
  • Ensuring high standards of safety, quality and engineering workmanship at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Strong electrical fault-finding abilities within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification preferred
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous

This role would suit engineers from manufacturing, steel, foundry, FMCG, chemicals, recycling, power generation, paper, glass, cement or other heavy industrial environments.
