This is a key opportunity for an experienced Engineering Storeman to join a busy asset care function within a manufacturing environment where reliability, planned maintenance and asset availability really matter. Working closely with engineering, planning and asset care teams, you'll take full ownership of engineering stores, spares control and CMMS accuracy playing a direct role in achieving high equipment availability and supporting world-class maintenance standards.
If you've worked as an Engineering Storeman, Maintenance Storeman or Engineering Stores Controller, this role will feel familiar but with real responsibility, visibility and long-term stability.
What You'll Be Doing:- Managing the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores
- Receiving, inspecting, locating and issuing engineering parts via the CMMS
- Supporting planned maintenance activities by liaising with planning teams well in advance
- Raising purchase orders and controlling engineering spares spend in line with budget
- Managing critical spares, obsolescence and inventory accuracy
- Maintaining asset, spares and machine data within the CMMS (Limble)
- Driving 5S and workplace organisation standards across all engineering stores areas
- Supporting internal audits including HSHEQ, BRC and workplace organisation audits
- Proven experience as an Engineering Storeman or within engineering/maintenance stores
- Background working in a manufacturing or engineering-led environment
- Strong CMMS experience (day-to-day use essential)
- Good IT skills, including MS Office
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with 5S or workplace organisation principles
- GCSE Maths and English essential; A-level or equivalent BTEC preferred
- Confident communicator able to work with engineers, planners and management
- Salary: £38,000
- Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays
- Pension: 4% employer contribution and 4% employee contribution
- Stable Monday-Friday day shift
