If you're an experienced Engineering Team Leader, Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor or Shift Engineering Supervisor looking to progress your career, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world's largest food manufacturers. We're recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to lead a team of 5 engineers on a busy manufacturing site in Malton.

As the Engineering Team Leader, you'll be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supporting production, reducing downtime and developing your engineering team. This is a hands-on Engineering Team Leader position where you'll still be involved technically while leading from the front and driving engineering standards across the site.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of 5 engineers.
  • Planning and prioritising planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
  • Supporting production by minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability.
  • Managing engineering workloads across your shift.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.
  • Managing contractors and permit-to-work systems.
  • Using CMMS systems to schedule and record maintenance activities.
  • Driving a strong health & safety culture.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as an Engineering Team Leader, Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor or Shift Engineering Supervisor.
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled engineering qualifications.
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or food manufacturing experience.
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
  • Experience using CMMS maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive leader who enjoys developing engineers and improving team performance.
