We're recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering business supporting food manufacturing and packaging sites nationwide. Based from Whittlesey, you'll split your time between the workshop and customer sites, carrying out maintenance, installations, fault finding, and repairs on a wide range of production equipment.
This role would suit a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and building strong relationships with customers. If you're looking for a Monday-to-Friday position without weekend shifts, this could be exactly what you're after.

What You'll Be Doing
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK to carry out maintenance and repair work
- Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
- Installing and commissioning new machinery
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Working on food processing and packaging equipment
- Diagnosing breakdowns and implementing effective repairs
- Building strong relationships with customers through excellent service
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting workshop-based activities from the Whittlesey site when required
What We're Looking For
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, or Field Service Engineer
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience maintaining production, food processing, or packaging machinery would be beneficial
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys problem solving
- Full UK driving licence
- Happy to travel throughout the UK as part of the role
