What youll be doing: Instrumentation & Controls Technician

• Carrying out fault-finding and maintenance on control systems, instrumentation, and furnace equipment (VIM, VAR, ESR, heat treatment lines, etc.).
• Running compliance work including calibrations, TUS and SAT testing.
• Supporting PLC and Burner Management Systems fault diagnostics.
• Creating and sticking to PPM schedules to keep plant uptime high.
• Logging everything through the site CMMS and using it for diagnosis.
• Collaborating with engineers, OEM partners, and the wider site team.
• Suggesting improvements on spares, systems, and lean processes.

What were looking for: Instrumentation & Controls Technician

• Background in medium to heavy manufacturing or similar industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, control logic, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical schematics and trend recordings.
• Comfortable with furnaces, sensors, calibration, and compliance routines.
• PC literate and confident with CMMS tools.
• Qualifications like NVQ, ONC, HNC, or equivalent in engineering.
