Ready to take full ownership of engineering performance at site level? We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a major FMCG food manufacturing site in Haverhill. Reporting directly to the site director, this is a senior leadership role with real influence responsible for driving engineering strategy, maximising production efficiency, and leading a team of engineers in a high-paced, high-care environment.
This Engineering Manager position is ideal for someone who thrives on accountability, enjoys building strong teams, and wants to shape a proactive, continuous improvement culture rather than simply firefighting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and developing a team of engineers, setting clear standards and expectations
- Owning all site maintenance across machinery, equipment and buildings within agreed budgets
- Driving maximum production efficiency through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory health, safety and environmental legislation
- Partnering with senior site leadership to support operational and CI objectives
- Embedding a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across engineering

- Proven experience in an FMCG food manufacturing environment, ideally high care
- Demonstrable engineering management experience leading sizeable teams

- City & Guilds electrical and mechanical qualifications

- Rational decision-making with sound engineering judgement
- A results-driven mindset with strong planning and prioritisation skills
