We’re recruiting a Project Engineer for a major, multi-site food manufacturing group with significant UK and international presence. This is a senior-level Project Engineer role with full lifecycle responsibility — from concept and feasibility through to commissioning and handover.

As Project Engineer, you’ll lead capital projects across site, driving delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, contractors, and senior stakeholders, providing technical leadership and ensuring engineering best practice is embedded at every stage. If you’re an experienced Project Engineer with strong electrical knowledge and a track record of delivering complex manufacturing projects, this is a role where you can make a genuine impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Owning full project lifecycle delivery from concept, design and specification through to installation and commissioning
  • Managing CAPEX projects, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership, with a strong focus on electrical engineering
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring safe systems of work on site
  • Collaborating with operations, production and senior leadership teams
  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering best practice

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer within manufacturing, FMCG, or food production
  • Strong electrical engineering knowledge (essential)
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies
  • PMP or PRINCE2 qualification desirable
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and solutions-driven
