A leading UK pensions provider is building a new DB superfund and is looking for a Transaction Manager to run the programme across multiple deals in parallel.
The role
- Run the programme plan across several DB superfund transactions at once, working closely with each scheme’s transaction broker (typically from an employee benefit consultancy) to keep every deal on a shared timeline
- Own the risk and issue log for each live transaction, escalating early so problems surface before they threaten a deadline
- Coordinate actuarial, legal, administration and systems workstreams to meet transaction deadlines across the portfolio
- Support senior leaders with day-to-day transaction tracking, escalation and status reporting across the pipeline
- Help produce governance papers for internal pricing, reporting and trustee meetings
- Build the templates, trackers and reporting cadence that make each deal faster and lower-risk than the last
About you
- 4–5 years’ experience in UK Defined Benefit pensions, with direct exposure to buy-in, buyout or superfund transactions
- A background at an employee benefit consultancy, insurer or superfund provider
- A track record of managing several complex, multi-stakeholder deals or projects in parallel, to fixed timelines
- Confident working with brokers, actuaries, lawyers, trustees and regulators
- Strong governance and reporting discipline, and comfortable producing clear committee-ready papers under time pressure
- Hands-on delivery instincts
Desirable
- Experience of superfund or other endgame transactions
- PRINCE2, APM or MSP (a bonus, not a requirement)
- Experience presenting to pricing committees, reporting groups or trustee boards
What’s on offer
- The chance to help build a new endgame solution from the ground up
- Visible, senior-level exposure across a growing deal pipeline
- A move from advisory work to the provider side of the market
