Are you currently working in care, supported housing or community support and looking for a role where you can really make a difference to people's lives? We are looking for compassionate, organised and proactive individuals to join a highly respected charitable organisation supporting elderly residents aged 65+ within beautiful almshouse communities in Richmond.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be the main point of contact for residents, helping to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment while encouraging independence and wellbeing.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

  • Care homes
  • Domiciliary care
  • Care agencies
  • Supported housing
  • Retirement living
  • Community support
  • Resident or customer-facing care environments

Previous Scheme Manager experience is not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a care or support background into a more community-focused role.

Applicants must:

  • Be a car owner/driver
  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance of the London Borough of Richmond (approximately 40 minutes or less)

The Role

  • Building positive relationships with residents aged 65+
  • Supporting resident wellbeing and independent living
  • Carrying out regular welfare and wellbeing checks
  • Responding to day-to-day resident queries and concerns
  • Liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Assisting residents to access support services where required
  • Managing administration and maintaining accurate records
  • Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and community-focused environment

About You

  • A caring, empathetic and patient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised with good administrative ability
  • Calm, practical and solution-focused
  • Comfortable handling sensitive situations
  • Confident using email and basic IT systems
  • Experience supporting elderly or vulnerable people would be highly desirable
