Operations Manager (Events) – Part-time (3 days)
Location: Teddington
Salary: £55,000 FTE (pro-rata £33,000)
Reports to: Managing Director | Team: ~10 (+ temps)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful, growing, conference and events agency, in an essential operational leadership role. You will work directly with the MD and will be the anchor at the centre of the organisation. You will lead a small driven core team of 10 plus occasional temp support to help prepare the company for future growth.
What you’ll do
Run day-to-day event operations: planning, budgets, suppliers, on-site delivery
Build / improve processes across CRM, finance ops, workflows, data / MI & compliance
HR / People ops: recruitment coordination, onboarding, policies, training, payroll liaison, first-line ER
Procurement: source and negotiate with venues / suppliers; manage contracts, SLAs and cost control
Track commercials: forecasting, margins, contracts, and risk logs
Engage senior stakeholders (clients/partners/board) with clear plans, KPIs and post-event reviews
What you’ll bring
Operations leadership in events / conferences (or similar)
Proven process build and adoption; calm with senior stakeholders under pressure
Strong commercial acumen and confidence with data / MI
Working knowledge of HR admin and procurement best practice
Comfortable with modern CRMs, project tools and Excel / Sheets
