Are you currently working in care, supported housing or community support and looking for a role where you can really make a difference to people's lives? We are looking for compassionate, organised and proactive individuals to join a highly respected charitable organisation supporting elderly residents aged 65+ within beautiful almshouse communities in Richmond.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be the main point of contact for residents, helping to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment while encouraging independence and wellbeing.
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- Care homes
- Domiciliary care
- Care agencies
- Supported housing
- Retirement living
- Community support
- Resident or customer–facing care environments
Being a: scheme manager, living coordinator, wellbeing manager etc. Previous Scheme Manager experience is not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a care or support background into a more community focused role.
Applicants must:
- Be a car owner/driver
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of the London Borough of Richmond (approximately 40 minutes or less)
The Role as a Resident Wellbeing Manager:
- Building positive relationships with residents aged 65+
- Supporting resident wellbeing and independent living
- Carrying out regular welfare and wellbeing checks
- Responding to day–to–day resident queries and concerns
- Liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
- Assisting residents to access support services where required
- Managing administration and maintaining accurate records
- Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and community–focused environment
About You as a Resident Wellbeing Manager:
- A caring, empathetic and patient approach
- Strong communication and relationship–building skills
- Organised with good administrative ability
- Calm, practical and solution–focused
- Comfortable handling sensitive situations
- Confident using email and basic IT systems
- Experience supporting elderly or vulnerable people would be highly desirable
