Office based in Richmond

Permanent - Full Time - 35 hours per week - Monday-Friday

As a long established business in the field of design, installation and maintenance of ventilation systems, the role of Estimator is integral to the success of the company. You will enjoy working with a successful, collaborative team in lovely offices in Richmond (10 minutes from station or free parking on site available).

The primary function of the Estimator is to ensure accurate preparation and submission of quotes for new and existing customers across a range of commercial and residential projects.

To be successful in the role of Estimator you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing new project leads, plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates
  • Gathering and analysing labour, material, and equipment costs to determine project costs
  • Creating detailed take offs to build accurate tender submissions using Ensign and SimPRO including the calculation of airflow rates to Building Regulation requirements
  • Identifying and quantifying potential risks and opportunities associated with each project
  • Tracking and maintaining accurate records of estimate progress to contribute to forecasting
  • Conducting handover meetings with the operations team for new project starts
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, Regulations, and product advancements to ensure competitive pricing and value-added solutions

To be successful in the role of Estimator you will have:

  • Technical proficiency - understanding the application of Building Regulations and planning conditions in respect of project requirements
  • Mathematical and Analytical skills - the ability to interpret a range of engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Attention to detail - precision to ensure all requirements are included in tender submissions
  • Problem solving skills - the ability to think critically and deliver cost effective solutions
  • Customer focus - understanding the needs of clients and building strong, positive relationships
  • Experience in Ensign software and estimating packages
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and materials
  • An understanding of ductwork installation would be advantageous
  • Experience working as a mechanical estimator would be advantageous

The successful candidate in the role of Estimator will receive a salary of £40-45,000, holiday pay, pension, the opportunity to accrue longer holidays with service and working with a highly successful, progressive organisation who are also fun and team orientated.
