About the role As a Wireless SME, you’ll be a definitive source of knowledge in the field of wireless technology. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing organizational efficiency, solving complex challenges, and driving innovation. This is a customer-facing role focused on delivering a stable wireless environment to our growing number of customers adopting a wireless-first approach to their infrastructure. You will support complex multi-service troubleshooting and diagnostics and actively engage in proposing enhancements to the solution and the associated service wrap. Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of wireless communication protocols, standards, and technologies (such as Wi-Fi, cellular networks, Bluetooth, and IoT). Evaluate business operations and processes related to wireless systems. Identify areas where technical solutions can improve business performance. Provide leadership in complex multi-service troubleshooting or problem management, coordinating with internal and external parties to identify root causes and define plans to eliminate issues. Be the technical subject matter expert for our customers on performance-related discussions, design, or service evolution engagements. Solution Design and Implementation: Recommend technical solutions based on business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement wireless solutions. Oversee development, testing, and deployment of wireless systems. Provide guidelines to delivery teams on setup, implementation, and testing techniques. Engage with Orange engineering for changes to standard setups to meet customer needs and manage onboarding governance. Training and Mentorship: Develop and deliver specialized training sessions. Mentor team members on wireless technology best practices. Ensure training materials accurately represent expertise. Project Support: Assist project teams in ensuring the accuracy of wireless content. Review and validate project deliverables against standards. Troubleshoot and resolve wireless-related issues. Research and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations. Propose innovative solutions to enhance wireless capabilities. about you Qualifications: Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in wireless technology. Proven track record as a Wireless SME. Skills: Deep understanding of wireless protocols (802.11, LTE, 5G). Proficiency in network design, security, and performance optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Cisco Wireless environments; knowledge of Aruba and Juniper is beneficial. Certifications (preferred): Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE), Cisco CCNA/CCNP Wireless, or equivalent. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical arguments with customer SMEs and lead troubleshooting engagements. additional information Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. Strong knowledge of telecoms, IT infrastructure, cloud services, security, and software platforms, including Infrastructure as Code.
